Brief Overview
|
The Points of
VIEW project, a collaborative partnership of Time Warner Cable, Albany Division,
C-SPAN Cable Network, Project VIEW of the Schenectady City School
District and the National Council for Social Studies, developed a model
for standards based social studies curriculum that relies on advanced
broadband capabilities, expansive educational and public affairs
programming content and state-of-the-art interactive
videoconferencing technology. The prototype program, which
focuses on Theodore Roosevelt’s presidency, succeeds in raising student
achievement by incorporating new combinations of technology and content
in its design and delivery that includes interactive content using on
C-SPAN resources.
