Post Video Conference
Students will begin the process of comparison of the
artists and works visited in the Museum Conference. Open
discussion will take place to examine the similarities and
differences in the word choices for each of the conference
activities. (Students will compare the lists compiled
for each of the works examined at the Albright-Knox Museum)

Revisit examples of works by both of the artists to serve as
inspiration to the spontaneous process needed to engage in the
Monoprinting activity.
Monoprinting

Students will engage in the process of using water soluble
inks to apply to sheets of plexiglass (various dimensions)
using a variety techniques, such as brushwork, rolling on with
brayer, stencils, finger-painting, dripping, etc.

Students will select to create a work of art that imitates
abstract art that will either deal strictly with formal
elements such as line, shape, color, etc. OR use these
elements to develop an image based on specific content (such
as emotion, symbolism, etc.) Their objective will be to
use art elements and principles of design to convey visual
compositions.
Conclusion: Critique works created by students
Be sure to encourage discussion of the impressions and
association made in response to the lines, shapes, colors,
etc. that the student have used in their monoprints.
