Suggestions for Alternative Activities

• Have students for homework collect multiples of organic objects and multiples of manmade objects to bring to class for construction of sculpture addressing the opposition of nature vs. culture.

• Ask students to remember a special place they have been.  Have them write a paragraph or two about this place.  Then have them draw and paint images of these memories.  Lastly, use the images and text to create a collage.  Supplemental images and text from magazine can be used.
