To be a
catcher is not easy;
I'm on my hands each day.
But if we win just one more game,
That's why I come out to play.
I am the
catcher, and I am proud.
I do my best in front of the crowd.
My job is to catch the ball
Make sure no one steals.
But sometimes someone tests me, and I jump to my heels.
I throw
the ball with all my might
And almost always win this fight.
The runner walks off the field,
kicking the dirt in the dugout
All because I, the great catcher,
got him out.
