If it weren't for you, Jackie,
We wouldn't have the great players we have today.
You went through the hard times, but you kept your persistence.
And you gave the people that hated you  no resistance.

Your hardships and pain led you to your fame,
And your fame made baseball a sport everyone can play.
You made baseball everyone's game.

Now, today, everyone can play,
Thanks to your major league stay.
You had great nobility,
And you gave your team stability.
