Teachers Visit Sagamore Hill - 04.11.03

The points of VIEW team of teachers including Stuart Palzak, Doug Kaufman, Lou Schiavone, John Deguardi, Gary Comley, Jerry Ostrander and Nick Sheldon visited Sagamore Hill April 11th.   The teachers took a tour of Theodore Roosevelt's summer home in Oyster Bay, Long Island as they begin development of the project curriculum.  The experience provided a broader vision of how they will best use the resources of C-SPAN for the project.

The visit included a tour by the National Park Service guide and a visit with T. Roosevelt re-enactor, James Foote.  The visit also provided teachers with a better understanding of Roosevelt's personal life, unique points of interest in his Long Island home, as well as a basis for planning the project.
