Bridging Forces |
| Students design structures, examine different forces, and demonstrate the concepts of balanced and unbalanced forces. Center of gravity and compression and tension forces are used in student constructions. Strong emphasis on scientific inquiry. Grades 4-8 | |
Chemistry Capers |
| Students perform tasks that show physical and chemical changes, investigate and design chemical reactions, and describe evidence that chemical changes have occurred. Grades 3-8 | |
Ecology Exploration |
| Students explore the concept of biodiversity, identify biomes and the differences/similarities between food chains and food webs. Activities include unique manipulatives, group connections, and physical activity. Grades 2-8 | |
| The Gene Scene | |
| Students investigate cell processes and genetics using innovative DNA activities developed by the National Human Genome Research Institute. DNA- see it, build it, touch it! Grades 9-12 | |
Initial Incision |
| Basic heart anatomy is introduced to students via dissection. Other program elements include the effects of exercise and nutrition on cardiovascular health. Extra supply fees may apply. Grades 7-9 | |
Magnet Mania |
| Students observe magnetism, explain properties of magnetic forces, and relate these properties to the Earth's magnetic field by demonstration. Students will investigate the Maglev Train technology, create an electromagnet, and develop a compass in their investigations. Grades 2-8 | |
Rocket Science |
| Students develop and test models that demonstrate the propulsive force of air and Newton's Laws of Motion. The activities focus on the scientific processes of experimentation, goal setting, and communicating results to a group. Grades 3-8 | |
To the Moon and Beyond |
| Students display knowledge of facts about the moon in a creative presentation with specific goals and tasks. Activities include a class driven, guided discussion about the importance of space exploration, simulations of challenges faced by astronauts, and representation of the Sun, Earth, and Moon relationship. Grades 4-8 | |

Eyes, Toes, and Tails |
| Animals have all different eyes, toes, and tails and use them in all different ways. We will be focusing on these differences then comparing and contrasting them to find out how their adaptations help them in the fight for survival. Grades 4-8 | |
