The Liberty Science Center, located in Jersey City, New Jersey is an "innovative learning resource for lifelong exploration of nature, humanity and technology . . . "  The Center exhibit floors include the environment floor  which provides panoramic views across the Hudson River to NYC and Ellis Island to the Statue of Liberty; the health floor  which is dedicated to the study of the human body and its senses; and the invention floor  where you can explore the various ways people have invented mechanical object that use music, light and motion.

The Center also includes an IMAX Dome Theater, 3-D Laser Show and a number of featured exhibits.

1 Session - 45 Minutes - $190

The Artist's Perception - More Here
LSC's Perception Alley allows visitors to explore perception using mirrors, optical illusions, and interactive exhibits.  Guests will gain a conceptual understanding of how different art forms are perceived by the eye.

Careers at LSC  - More Here
During this connection, you will meet people who work at LSC.  Some of the people you might interact with are involved in engineering, the store, exhibit design, animal maintenance and the telephone system.  They will share their tools of the trade and take you places that guests never get to go.

The Dancers Tool - More Here
LSC's exhibit area "A Closer Look at Your Skeleton" includes several models and manipulatives that allow you the chance to explore the components and functions of the human skeletal system.

Geometry In Nature - More Here
LSC's Stream Table is an interactive exhibit that enables guests to experiment with the effects of erosion.  Guests manipulate water and a soil substitute, Plastigrit (recycled lunch trays), to model river systems and observe the patterns that emerge.

Earth's Energy Sources/Alternate Forms of Energy - More Here
LSC's E-Quest exhibit offers guests the opportunity to explore and experiment with a variety of earth's energy sources.  The different areas that may be visited are the bio-stored station, the surface station, the geothermal station, the ocean station, and the nuclear station.

Forces that Shape the Earth:  Earthquakes - More Here
The Torsional Wave spans the four floors of LSC's center atrium, a total of seventy feet.  This exhibit encourages guests to experiment with wave behavior.  Our Earthquake Simulator supports interactive examination of the effects of earthquakes on different types of structures.  After entering variables into the computer, guests can test the outcome.

Forces that Shape the Earth:  Erosion - More Here
LSC's stream Table is an interactive exhibit that enables guests to experiment with the effects of erosion.  Guests manipulate water and a soil substitute, Plastigrit (recycles lunch trays), to model river systems and test theories of erosion.

Forces that Shape the Earth:  Wind - More Here
With LSC's Atmosphere area, exhibits like the fluvial storm and kalliroscope allow you to explore the phenomena of wind and air currents.

Rocks and Fossils - More Here
LSC has a collection of rocks and fossils which include examples of fluorescent and phosphorescent rocks. petrified wood and dinosaur foot prints.

Sunspots/Our Sun - More Here
LSC's Solar Telescope allows guests to observe the surface of the sun with no fear of eye damage.  A mirror tracks the sun's movement in the sky and projects its image on a table top.

Weather - More Here
LSC's Weather Station has instruments typically used to measure aspects of the weather.  The station collects and records important data about air pressure, temperature and humidity both outside and inside of LSC.  These instruments record measurements over time, allowing us to observe patterns that exists in our weather.

Aquatic Ecosystems:  Estuaries - More Here
Most of LSC's aquatic tanks reflect what is right outside our window, the Hudson River Estuary.  Some of the creatures we might be able to observe are American eel, toadfish, flounder and spider crab.

Biomechanics - More Here
LSC's Living Room is dedicated to the study of the human body.  Guests gain a deeper understanding of why we are built the way we are and how the human boy does so many amazing things.

Genes & Cells - More Here
Liberty Science Center's Video Light Microscope is an inverted light, phase-contrast microscope.  It is used to help guests understand the different ways to view the microscopic world.  Various specimens will be used to observe basic cell structure.

Circulatory System -  More Here
On display in the Live from ... Cardiac Surgery area is a preserved human heart.  It offers you the opportunity to observe the size, shape, and internal anatomy of the human heart.
