7. Meet with
the team of teachers, scientists, on-line experts, producers, local
teachers
8. Develop
marketing strategy and promotions
Tips:
Avoid holidays, the
beginning and end of school, statewide testing days.
Process usually takes
six months for new programs, one to two months for repeat shows
Process works best
when you have the various pieces and players in place and everyone
has agreed to the process of development
Less is better, be
realistic with the amount of content and the time allotted.
Three-four areas
covered in a 1 - 1/2 hour program is feasible.
Remember that you are
opening doors for students and providing opportunities students
wouldn't otherwise have.
The more
specific you can speak to the standards/content of the
program, the better teaches will understand the program
and how to fit it into their curriculum. |
