The National Air and Space Museum includes the largest collection of historic air and spacecraft in the world.  It is also the center of research into history, science, and the technology of aviation and space flight.

Millions of students tuned into the actual real-time videoconference broadcast that explored the physics of flight and linked students to museum scientists.  Dr. Blake Reid answered phone calls and e-mails relating to the lesson during the broadcast.

In addition to the How Things Fly Web cast, this project continues to  explore the concepts of air, Bernoulli Principle, wings and airplane design. Museum scientists, specialists and the Project VIEW teacher teams have developed complete lesson plans, projects and offer extraordinary resources.  This project  includes pre-broadcast, post-broadcast, developmental and investigative activities.
