Mathematics,
Science and Technology: Standard 1
Students will use mathematical analysis, scientific inquiry
and engineering design, as appropriate, to pose questions,
seek answers and develop solutions.
Time
Required:
Planning - 1 day (3 day training) and additional
time approximately 2-3 hours.
Pre-lessons - 3-4 weeks Reading
science text, completing given lessons
Implementation - 1 hour
Post Lessons - 1 week
Assessment - 1-2 hours
Logistical Planning:
The class will do a test videoconference to make sure
children practice projection of voice, behavior, etc. to prep
for the actual conference.
Children with IEPs will be
prepared after practice and extra support of an aide will be
requested.
Techniques and Tools:
The creation of the students' own ROV will be used to
assess the ability of knowledge gained after completing the
videoconference.
A rubric will be provided
before the creation of the project and will be used to assess
the content.
