Logistical Planning
Students will be familiarized with the concept of
videoconferencing and the use of the equipment. We
will discuss their role, our role and the role of the
content provider for the conference.
The music teacher will be
informed a week in advance that he needs to relocate his
class for the time period of the conference.
The Information
Technology staff will be notified of the event.
The secretaries will be
asked not to make announcements during that time.
The administration will
be asked not to hold fire drills during that time.
Student understanding
will be assessed primarily through the use of journal
writing and group discussion. This will be the
beginning of a semester-long exploration of these
concepts. Students will also be asked to produce
written analyses of advertisements which will ten be
assessed for understanding by the teaching team.
