45-minute periods
Students
are currently reading the novel, Night and will also
read The Merchant of Venice. Students have had
extensive background on The Holocaust through
documentaries, readings, poetry, and a movie.
Implementation will take two 45-minute class periods.
Post Lessons and Activities will depend on the
presentation. They could include anywhere from two
to five classes. Students will be assessed through
writing which will be determined when I have a better
idea of the content of the presentation.
Logistical Planning:
We will discuss what video conferencing is and who
we will videoconference with. I will give them
information on The Tolerance Museum. We will also
practice and discuss the proper decorum for video
conferencing. This does not apply to this
particular class.
Technique and Observations:
Students may do a group presentation that includes
information from the presentation. They will also
be assessed through and essay and journal writing.
I will grade
their essays through criteria that has been established
in the assignment. |
