For
the National Baseball Hall of Fame “Batter Up!”
Videoconference Game
1.
An official game consists of three innings.
2.
Each inning ends when three outs are made
or if nine batters have “stepped up to the plate”
to attempt a question.
3.
Batters step to the plate in the order
designated on the Line-Up sheet and try for a hit
by choosing a question designated as a single,
double, triple, or homerun.
4.
If the question is answered correctly, the
batter and all base runners advance the
corresponding number of bases (e.g., one for a
single, etc.). If the questions are missed, an
out is recorded.
5.
Once the question is heard, the batter may
choose to attempt a “sacrifice” instead of a hit,
but only with at least one runner on base and less
than two outs. To complete a sacrifice, the
batter may receive help from anyone (or everyone)
in the classes before offering an answer. If the
question is answered correctly, all base runners
advance one base. The batter is out whether
successful or not.
6.
Runs are tallied each inning, with a final
count at the end of the game. |
