VIEW trains
teachers to incorporate videoconferencing and other digital
resources into their classrooms in ways that will challenge
students to meet their highest potential through the use
of innovative technology.
Project activities include:
creating a
customizable staff training model which builds capacity
to replicate and/or participate in programs produced by
the VIEW project
constructing an Internet "Web hub" to showcase and
provide easy access to VIEW projects and related
archives and resources.

Two
Hubs, One Goal
Project VIEW
has two training hubs - the Schenectady City School
District (Project VIEW LEA), and the New York Institute
of Technology (NYIT) that share a vision and a goal to
create new models in standards-based curriculum
delivery. Through the shared resources of both hubs,
VIEW training reaches over 500 New York school districts
from Buffalo to Long Island.
VIEW ensures
continuous professional development for teachers,
administrators and other individuals to further the use
of technology in the classroom, library, or other
learning centers in the community.
