| Bring
one of the United States largest art museums, the curators,
the educators and the phenomenal array of art collections right into
your classroom. |
 |
The Philadelphia Museum of Art to offers a
comprehensive video-conferencing program, "Photography".
Highlighting works from the Museum's photographic collection, this
lesson discusses the ways in which this medium is used to record and
later our perception of the world around us.
Participation
in this videoconference and educational journey will encourage
and enable students to be able to "read" the significance of a photograph
conveying a message above the fold of a newspaper. Through this
inter-disciplinary program, students will express
themselves using Art, Language Arts, Math and Photography.
The
program includes lessons, activities, and resources that will
support an extraordinary learning experience. Students will
have an opportunity to explore the wonderful world of art while
interacting with museum curators and educators without leaving the
classroom.
The
Philadelphia Museum of Art offers a fascinating view to the world of
art with exciting collections including Asian Art, European
Decorative Arts, Costumes and Textiles, Prints, Drawings and
Photography, European Painting and Sculpture, American Art, Indian
