Objectives
Students will research actual newspaper articles and accompanying art from the 1960's.

Students will create a finished newspaper related to events of the sixties.

Language Arts
Students will create newspaper articles based on assigned topics and photos from the Photography class.  Students will need to research their facts, edit and write in newspaper style.

Photography Students
Students will create photographs related to events of the sixties.  They will work with the student journalists to choose the best photo for the articles.

Commercial Design Students  Students will create the entire design of the newspaper, including mast head, column width, cont style along with the layout and printed final copy.

Field Trip
Students will take a field trip to a local newspaper for a day to see all phases and departments from conception to final printed piece.
