A Webcast of the Space Day national event being held at the Udvar-Hazy Center will be available to view free of charge. Time Warner Cable is proud to sponsor Hyde School Programs for the second consecutive year, supporting arts education for students of all ages in twenty regional school districts.  The Hyde Collection, a fine arts museum located in Glens Falls, offers guided tours throughout the school year FREE of charge. The expansive permanent collection and regularly changing special exhibitions provide the foundation for School Programs that link art and art history with social studies, language arts, math, and science.

 

The Museum’s education department collaborates with classroom teachers and curriculum coordinators to develop object-based programming that satisfies New York State learning standards and prepares students for features of their standardized achievement tests.  Over twenty options are offered, each designed to meet the needs of the student and teacher—reflecting the curriculum in both grade level and subject matter.  Tours can be customized to specific classroom needs.
