Part 3 – Essay

Dian Fossey was totally devoted to the mountain gorillas. She made it her mission to save them from extinction.  For example, she organized anti-poaching patrols and placed bounties on poachers’ heads. She killed their cattle and burned their houses. She even said she was a sorceress (witch).  Her mission ended in her death. Is there any issue that you feel so strongly about? Is there something that you would be willing to dedicate your life’s work to? What would you be willing to do to support your cause?

Below are several social issues that you may already feel strongly about. Write an essay explaining your strong support of one of these issues. First, explain the issue and why you are willing to devote your life to it. Explain three things you would be willing to do to support the issue.
