| Teams of teachers from Thomas
O'Brien Academy of Science
and Technology (TOAST) and schools from the Albany Diocese
worked closely with museum staff to create a project
that examines the Iroquois Culture through its artifacts
and stories.
Teachers
helped design a series of lessons for lower elementary
(k-3) classes that focus on Iroquois corn husk dolls,
the bear legend as well as Iroquois foods and the "Three
Sisters" of Iroquois myth.
The
videoconference program can be adjusted for older
students as can the teacher designed lessons and
activities. .
